9th Annual Native Language Symposium

Symposium Goal:

Our theme this year, “Learning from Our History to Strengthen Our Present and Future” reminds us that language is not only a means of communication, but the living heart of culture, identity, and community. It also reminds us that every word, story, and song we carry has power. By reflecting on the wisdom of our ancestors, we gain strength to nurture our languages today – ensuring they thrive for generations to come.

Symposium Outcomes:

Connect participants with others who are working toward the same goal, further the movement toward educational sovereignty, provide resources for Tribes to exercise self-determination with regard to education, and define achievement with Indigenous Education.
