Our Families

Keres Children’s Learning Center (KCLC) recognizes that language maintenance and strengthening cannot happen without also focusing on the parent generation.  Healthy languages are ones that practice inter-generational transmission of the language every day.  Therefore, KCLC is proud and inspired by the parents that send their children to KCLC as they are right in there with their children ACTIVELY learning, reinforcing, and maintaining our Keres language in the home along with their parents and other fluent Keres speakers.

KCLC families are committed to the following upon enrollment:

  • Twice per month parent seminars for 2 hours each time
  • $40.00 monthly tuition payments
  • Providing lunch for child twice per week
  • Transportation to and from school each day
  • Participation in a parent leadership project each school year

KCLC hopes to create a welcoming learning environment for all families in which parents feel they have a voice in the education of their child.  In supporting the Keres and academic development of its students, KCLC also hopes to nurture parents in their own learning per their direction.
