Matthew Pecos has been an educator for over 25 years, working with the Santa Fe Indian School and the Cochiti Language Revitalization Program since its inception in 1992. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico in Business. He is a diligent advocate on behalf of children and families, education, and the importance of Indigenous language maintenance and revival. Mr. Pecos is a life-long councilman for the tribe and has represented and been appointed to various leadership roles in Pueblo de Cochiti.
